From an estate – more items to be added. BOY SCOUTS CANADA – UNIFORM SHIRT WITH PATCHES & BADGES. From the early 1960s when the owner was in the 1st St. 100% authentic with provenance to go with it. Very hard to find in this condition. This shirt was worn by a Cdn Boy Scout who was a Patrol Leader (2 white stripes on pocket). His Tenderfoot badge is placed between the two stripes. One of the stars likely represent his time in the Wolf Cubs; the other his time in the Scouts. The Leaping Wolf badge was worn by Scouts who had been Cubs. The Trillium is Ontario’s flower. The ribbons indicate the patrol he was in. The Be Prepared badge is a 2nd Class Badge. The three circular proficiency badges are for Artist, Marksman and Fireman. The latter is one of several badges worn on the left arm – and one of the badges you needed to eventually qualify for the Queen Scout badge. Badges are of the 1957 issue. The green shirt colour was discontinued and replaced by a lighter tan coloured shirt. Long sleeve uniform shirt. Right sleeve has 1st ST. THOMAS rocker with ELGIN patch below. Below that are two round patches: one crossed rifles, the other I’m not too sure about. Right chest has a running wolf patch with BOY SCOUTS, and beneath it a BOY SCOUTS – CANADA rocker. On the pocket is an ONTARIO trillium patch. On the left sleeve there is a Green & White 4 Ribbon adornment. Below it a oval patch which reads BOY SCOUTS / BE PREPARED. Below it a round patch with a fire fighters helmet. On the left chest are two badges above the pocket. One’3′ the other’2′. The pocket is adorned with an elongated patch that says BOY SCOUTS, it is sandwiched between two white bars. Tag inside the collar reads BOY SCOUTS CANADA, OFFICIAL DESIGN / 13 1/2. Very good condition as seen in photos. There are no holes. Great item for the Scout collector. Very seldom seen, much less offered. WILL BE LISTING MORE ITEMS FROM THIS ESTATE. UNIFORMS: TWO STETSONS, LEATHER BELTS, SHIRTS, SWEATERS, HATS, PATCHES. ALL FROM THE LATE 1950s AND EARLY 1960s. I have tried to take close up photos to accurately depict the condition of my items. Your complete satisfaction is my goal. This should be a pleasant experience for both parties.
