My name is James Dean, I live in Sebring Florida, have never been to Fairmont Indiana, and remember watching Rebel Without a Cause when I was 8 years old. I never owned a Porsche nor 49 Mercury, but drove Jaguars and now a Land Rover. I have always been kidded about my name, though no one ever remembered the red jacket in the movie that James Dean gave to Sal Mineo. I became an Eagle Scout in 1960 in Findley Lake New York, and attended the Jamboree in Colorado Springs that year, where I bought this red jacket and wore it occasionally since then. Most of its’ life has been in a closet. I I have decided to pass on these items I saved to other lovers of Boy Scout heritage. I have many other Scouting momentos. I will include a signed receipt on my company stationery, so you may also amuse friends, that you bought this red jacket from James Dean. Please inquire at 1954JAGUARS or 1954JAGPART. Thank you, James Dean of Sebring , the Heart of Old Florida. The item “Boy Scout Memorabilia 1960 Jamboree Red Jacket & Patch owned by James Dean” is in sale since Tuesday, November 27, 2018.
