Air Scout Nippon patch lot / Japan Scout badges + Blue Impulse patch. CONDITION AS SHOWN (the Blue Impulse patch looks signed). We do not know much about air scouts of Japan. There was an attempt in the late 1950s and early 1960s with two experimental groups, but it did not succeed as the World War II heritage did not help to consolidate an attractive program for the boys. In the mid-1980s Itatsu Seichi, an aeronautics lover, was encouraged to create an air scout section, but crashed again into the little enthusiasm that aroused the program and the ballast of avoiding any glimpse of possible militarized image of Japanese scouting. The badges were never been officialized but they are some of the most beautiful example of the air scout program insignia. Thanks to Kate Matsudaira L. California for the help with information given.
