Paul’s High School Rover Scout Crew patch lot / badges c. RS first class badge. Somewhat worn but all the embroidery is intact! History: I do not know when St Paul’s School Rover Crew was founded but in 1942 there is a note from director Patrick Toner (De La Salle) assigning the leadership of the crew to Christopher Bennet, a young Irish brother aged 24 by then. Bennet was the youngest of the brothers at the school. St Paul’s was a high school, with no younger Scout branches. The crew was an independent Rover group of wealthy English, Anglo-Burmese and Indo-Burmese youngsters. The crew existed until at least 1961. He earned a degree in agriculture from the University of Dublin. He worked for the government, married and had five daughters, but died when his girls were very young.
