Boy Scouts BSA Eagle Scout Medal, Patch, and 21 Merit Badges from 1968 -1972 Era
The Sterling Silver Eagle medal has two small glue spots dried onto the wings on the backside of the medal, and some stains/discoloration of the the ribbon (see the closeup images provided in our listing). It was awarded at an Eagle Court Of Honor in 1972. The glue can definitely be removed with the right solvent, however, we didn’t attempt it. The Eagle Scout patch was probably awarded around the same time – it and the medal have been stored in a scrapbook since the mid 70’s. The patch may be a duplicate to one which was worn on the Eagle Scout’s uniform, as it appears to be in very new condition (never sewn on). The 21 merit badges are sewn to the original sash material, which was cut to the size as shown in the attached images. These included optional and required badges the Eagle Scout earned to reach Scouting’s highest rank. They were earned between 1968 and 1972, to the best of our knowledge.
