HE WAS AN EAGLE SCOUT AND CAMP STAFF MEMBER AT CAMP TESOMAS. HE ATTENDED 48 CONSECUTIVE TOM KITA CHARA LODGE 96 FALL CONFERENCES, ONLY MISSING IN 2009 WHEN CANCER HAD TAKEN HOLD IN HIS BODY. HE STARTED COLLECTING PATCHES IN 1960, AND WAS A HISTORIAN OF SCOUTING AND CAMPS IN THE STATE OF WISCONSIN. LATER IN HIS SCOUTING CAREER HE WAS THE LODGE ADVISOR FOR LODGE 146 TICHORA, AND WAS AWARDED THE SILVER BEAVER, AND VIGIL HONOR. HE WAS A TERRIFIC HUSBAND AND FATHER TO HIS FAMILY WHICH CAME FIRST IN HIS LIFE.
